Gorzkowicz serves as both A&F Sec overseeing DCAMM and as the Treasurer of the Convention Center Authority which employs John Barros. Barros has since divested from the winning consortium.
Attorneys for Liberty Junction, the winning bidders of the $2B Springfield courthouse lease, are blasting impropriety allegations as “salacious, but baseless…written for the media in a desperate attempt to create public apprehension,” while the parties dispute the influence of Governor Maura Healey’s A&F Secretary Matt Gorzkowicz’s dual role on the deal.
John Barros is also claiming that an attorney for the State Ethics Commission told him in January to hold off on disclosing his interest in the courthouse bid until the Healey administration determined a contract winner.
