Conan Harris doesn’t seem to have a regular place of business. All of his businesses track back to the home he shares with his wife Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley.
But we specifically wanted to know what Boston-based Harris contributed to the $2B Springfield courthouse bid. The official Liberty Junction proposal lists approximately 15 mixed-use projects attributed to FD Stonewater and John Barros (who divested from the bid amongst conflict of interest questions) as proof of their experience - effectively a resume.
But none of the projects listed involved Conan Harris.
What value did Harris contribute to the Liberty Junction team?
We couldn’t find him, so yesterday we found Congresswoman Pressley at a public event at a Boston post office.
Note, immediately prior to asking our question, the Congresswoman was completing a screed blasting Congressional Republicans. But as soon as the courthouse was mentioned the media scrum was over and she shifted into defensive “community event” mode.
On Wednesday, we asked Mayor Wu if 25 years of El Salvadoran TPS wasn't long enough, then how long should temporary status be?
She inferred that El Salvador was unsafe to travel to, but actually President Nayib Bukele has cracked down on gang activity and now El Salvador is rated as “use normal precautions” the safest travel designation by the US Government.
