The man believed to be the site owner for the scandal marred $2B Springfield courthouse project was hit with state and federal tax liens exceeding $300,000 last year according to public records filed in New York State.

Conan Harris (husband of Congresswoman Pressley), John Barros (interim director of the Convention Center Authority) and Suffolk Construction operated by the influential John Fish, won the competitive regional justice center bid early last month.

Barros dropped out last week after questions arose relative the disclosure of his state employment while simultaneously bidding on a state contract. Additionally the limited liability company Harris and Barros used to apply for the contract was dissolved at the time of the contract award.
