A detailed message sent to parents from Framingham Public School Superintendent Bob Tremblay on Friday provided a wide range of resources and advice effectively designed to evade federal immigration law, including links to organizations that can help arrange bond and legal support.
Organizations linked in the email obtained by 24Beacon include: Massachusetts Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA), Immigrant Justice Network of Massachusetts (the Maura Healey-connected Luce anti-ICE hotline), Jewish Family Services and the Metrowest Worker Center.
Adeyemi Ajao, the Framingham Public School Director of Partnerships, sent the email carrying Tremblay’s “Message of Support, Solidarity, and Commitment from our Superintendent.”
According to the Metrowest Worker Center flyer included in Tremblay’s email, the non-profit can help with: legal support, arranging bond and accompaniment to appointment or hearings.

Metrowest Worker Center also provides assistance registering kids in the local school system applications for MassHealth and Mass state ID, plus driver's license orientation, according to their website.
Tremblay’s email was also posted to the school department’s official smore community page.

Also included in multiple languages was an “Emergency Planning Guide for Parents with Uncertain Immigration Status” from the office of Attorney General Maura Healey (now Governor).
Parents were encouraged to reach out to “your school's Family Support Coordinator” with further questions.
“As we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we do so during a moment when many in our community may be carrying fear, uncertainty, and emotional weight due to recent immigration issues,” Tremblay wrote.
Tremblay laid out the expected February termination Haitian temporary protected status and the suspension of visa issuance to citizens from 39 countries as “changes that affect our community.”
According to the email 50,000 Haitians have TPS status in Massachusetts.
The email warns: “ICE has already required Medicaid/ Medicare lists of identified Haitian TPS (Temporary Protective Status) holders and have possession of personal info for these patients”
According to the Metro Daily News Tremblay was awarded a new four contract last year.
