Dionne, Minogue and Shortsleeve.

Elizabeth Dionne GOP candidate for MA state treasurer has issued an any time, anywhere debate challenge to incumbent Deb Goldberg while completely ignoring the fact that her own endorsed candidate for Governor, Mike Minogue, ignores the exact same challenge from GOP rival Brian Shortsleeve.

"We particularly look forward to the Boston Globe hosting a State Treasurer debate, given their recent editorial calling for statewide candidate debates.”

Odd, cuz you know, who was the the primary subject of that editorial? Mike Minogue.

Elizabeth, you remember Mike you spoke at his “unity” rally in late April?

via Globe.

“I have offered to debate any time, anywhere in Massachusetts. Radio stations across the Commonwealth--including New Bedford, Lowell, Worcester and Marshfield--have told Team Dionne that they are willing to host debates. We ask all interested media outlets to contact the Goldberg campaign to renew these offers,” Dionne declared.

"Transparency, affordability, and sound fiscal policy shouldn't be controversial topics. Voters deserve to hear us debate the hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars managed by the Treasurer's Office."

Wow, that sounds like Brian Shortsleeve accepting a debate invite in Taunton this week, that Minogue dodged - again.

“I look forward to sharing my vision for making Massachusetts more affordable, restoring accountability to Beacon Hill, keeping our communities safe, and getting our economy moving again,” Shortsleeve continued. “I hope Mike joins us because voters deserve a real discussion about the future of our state.”

Maybe the Dionne campaign is hitting a summer slump cuz there was this bizarre video with Rachel Miselman recently.
